Braised Orange Chicken
serves 4
Ingredients
4 ea bone-in chicken thighs
1 ea onion, chopped
2 cl garlic, minced
1 cn diced tomatoes, with juice
2 C orange juice, no pulp
1/4 C Grand Marnier
1/4 t red pepper flakes
Instructions
Brown the chicken in olive oil, then remove from the pan.
Soften the onions in the same pan, stir in the garlic, then the tomatoes, orange juice, liqueur, and red pepper flakes. Season to taste.
Return the chicken to the skillet, cover and bring to a boil, then simmer until the chicken is done.
Plate and serve.
